Job summary

NHS Highland is seeking a Band 6 HCPC registered Dietitian to join our friendly team covering Caithness. You will work autonomously across community, outpatient and inpatient settings, including a Rural General Hospital, contributing to service development and student training.

Knowledge of motivational interviewing and trauma-informed practice, plus awareness of health inequalities, would be advantageous as we support your CPD and professional growth. Base is negotiable.

Qualifications

  • Experience across community, outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Knowledge of motivational interviewing, trauma-informed practice and health inequalities would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Provide dietetic input in Caithness locality across community, outpatient and inpatient settings.
  • Work autonomously as part of a multidisciplinary team and support service development and CPD.

We’re seeking an enthusiastic and motivated Band 6 HCPC registered Dietitian to join our friendly and supportive team covering the Caithness locality. You will be part of the wider friendly, supportive and innovative Nutrition and Dietetic service in north Highland. This is a varied role offering the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population within community, outpatient and inpatient settings, including a Rural General Hospital.

Working as an autonomous practitioner and valued member of the multidisciplinary team, you will support patients with a wide range of clinical conditions while contributing to service development, quality improvement and student training. In return there are plenty of opportunities for your growth and development in the role and we will actively support your CPD. Knowledge and understanding of motivational interviewing style of communication, trauma sensitive practice and health inequalities would be an advantage.
