Job description

We are currently recruiting for a Community Development Officer to support community groups and projects in Wick, Dunbeath & Berriedale, and occassionally Lybster.

This is a 12 month funded post, but continuation funding at the end of the contract may be possible, and would be something that we would be aiming to achieve.

This post is part-time only at 18.75 hours per week, and the successful candidate will need to be flexible as attendance at certain evening meetings will be rerquired.

Essential Skills:

  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Have a strong understanding of community led development.
  • Strong IT skills.
  • Be a team player.
  • Able to use your own initiative.
  • A clean drivers licence.
  • Access to a vehicle.


Desireable Skills:

  • Project management experience.
  • Community funding experience.
  • Previous Third Sector experience.


Salary - £27,744 pro rata
