Job summary

Big Life Group in Salford is seeking a Community Development Worker to help bring people together and improve health and wellbeing in local communities. Based at the Energise Centre, you’ll work with a small team to develop activities that respond to community needs, including exercise, healthy eating, creativity, and reducing isolation.

Qualifications

• Experience working in community settings or volunteering.
• Ability to facilitate groups and support community participation.
• Ability to collect and analyse information to help plan services.

Responsibilities

• Develop and support plans, projects and health initiatives that engage local communities.
• Contribute to design, delivery and improvement of services reflecting local needs.
• Build and maintain relationships with community groups and partners.
• Gather and analyse information about community needs and priorities.
• Plan, organise and facilitate community groups, meetings, workshops and training sessions.
• Monitor and evaluate impact of community services using feedback and data.
