An exciting opportunity has emerged within our London service for a Community Development and Engagement Team Leader to join our vibrant team.

Location: London

Hours: Full Time: 37.5 hours per week

Full Time Salary: £35,220.59 - £37,184.90

Allowance: £4,133.14 ILW (paid pro rata)

Contract Type: Permanent

*Please note: Full-time hours at Change Grow Live are 37.5 hours per week. For part-time roles, the salary and payments will be pro rata based on contracted hours.

Responsibilities

About the role:

  • Identify existing untapped funding streams to support Service Users and Peer Mentors in developing social enterprise activities and Community Interest projects.
  • Produce reports on community inclusion activities and their effectiveness.
  • Collaborate with the Management Team to develop and grow social enterprise and innovative practices promoting independent recovery for individuals leaving treatment.
  • Lead Asset-Based Community Development by establishing links with community groups, including voluntary and faith sectors, and working with partners, service users, peer mentors, volunteers, recovery networks, and community groups to support recovery communities.
  • Manage operational line management of staff, including supervision, appraisal, performance, and sickness management, ensuring adherence to CGL and external policies.
  • Empower staff to promote hope, empowerment, choices, control, and opportunities for service users to reach their full potential as individuals and community members.

About you:

  • Educated to degree level or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Experience in partnership working, relationship management, and developing pathways and protocols.
  • Knowledge and experience in developing and leading health and social care services with high performance and quality standards.
  • Significant experience of leading teams working with families involved in social care intervention.
  • Knowledge of current legislation regarding children, young people, and safeguarding practices.
  • Ability to lead, inspire, and develop a team.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook).
  • Experience in culture and change management, staff engagement, and service improvement.
