Contract:

Two positions, permanent, 20 hours per week.

Who We Are

Alzheimer Scotland is Scotland’s national dementia charity. Our aim is to ensure nobody faces dementia alone. We provide support and information to people with dementia, their carers, and families. We campaign for the rights of people with dementia and fund vital dementia research.

What You’ll Do

We are committed to improving the lives and opportunities of people living with dementia, their carers, partners, and families, from the first point of contact through to end of life. We believe nobody should face dementia alone.

Are you a self-starter? Are you confident, innovative, and collaborative? If yes, then this may be the role for you.

We are looking for a Community Connexions Outreach Worker for the Fife area. You will support people living with dementia to establish personal goals and help them achieve these. The Outreach service offers short-term intervention and support, guiding and assisting individuals and their carers to live as independently as possible. This may involve reducing social isolation, building confidence in using public transport, engaging with the community, and more.

What You’ll Have

The successful candidate will have a flexible approach and be able to handle various enquiries and partnerships driven by the community and external partners. You should be a fantastic communicator, listening effectively and providing clear, concise, and detailed advice to a varied audience. A positive leadership approach is essential for the effective running of this service.

In return, you will have the opportunity to meet great people, experience job satisfaction, and work for an organization that offers a range of employee benefits and career progression opportunities.

Applicants must have a full and valid driving license and access to a vehicle to travel for this role.

Qualifications

Recognised professional qualification in social services and healthcare to a minimum of SVQ Level 3 or equivalent; or be willing to achieve this in-role.
