Northern Ireland Housing Executive is seeking a Community Cohesion and Involvement Officer on a fixed-term contract in Belfast. The role delivers community cohesion strategies, supports action plans, and promotes involvement across Housing Executive neighbourhoods in Northern Ireland.

The post is for a fixed term until 31 March 2029, with potential extension or permanency depending on business needs. The ideal candidate will hold a Level 6 degree or equivalent or a Level 5 Housing qualification

Qualifications

• Degree (Level 6*) or equivalent with 1+ year in customer support
• BTEC Higher Cert/Diploma (Level 5*) in Housing with 1+ year in customer support
• BTEC Higher Cert/Diploma (Level 5*) or equivalent with 2+ years in customer support
• Equivalent CPD or experiential learning with 3+ years in customer support

Responsibilities

• Assist in delivering NIHE Community Cohesion and Involvement strategies
• Develop components to deliver community cohesion within Housing Executive neighbourhoods
• Proactively promote Community Cohesion and Community Involvement across Northern Ireland
• Collaborate to implement action plans and drive engagement across NI

BAND: 5 JOB PURPOSE: The Community Cohesion and Involvement Officer will assist in the delivery of NIHE Community Cohesion and Community Involvement Strategies, associated Action Plans, and develop the necessary components to deliver community cohesion within Housing Executive neighbourhoods. They will pro-actively promote Community Cohesion and Community Involvement across Northern Ireland. REQUIREMENTS: 1. i) Hold a degree (Level 6*) or equivalent AND have a minimum of 1 year's relevant experience in a customer support environment OR ii) Hold a BTEC Higher Cert/Diploma (Level 5*) qualification in Housing AND have a minimum of 1 year's relevant experience in a customer support environment OR iii) Hold a BTEC Higher Cert/Diploma (Level 5*) or equivalent AND have a minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a customer support environment OR iv) Can demonstrate equivalent continuing professional development or experiential learning AND have at least 3 years' relevant experience in a customer support environment *Refer to Qualifications Framework for equivalencies
