Qualifications

  • Previous experience as HCA/clinical assistant/physio assistant.
  • Commitment to patient care and confidentiality required.
  • Methodical, numerate, and capable of self-managing workload.

Job description

Applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Demonstrate good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Good interpersonal skills.
  • Able to communicate effectively at all levels and maintain standards in potentially stressful situations.
  • Commitment to patient care.
  • Able to demonstrate an understanding of the importance of handling information confidentially and sensitively.
  • Ability to work as part of a team.
  • Methodical, numerate.
  • Good analytical and judgmental skills, including the ability to problem solve.
  • Well organized, able to self-manage and prioritize own workload whilst paying attention to detail and retaining flexibility to react to changing situations.
  • Proficient in computer skills, ECDL or equivalent, Microsoft Office.
  • Previous HCA/clinical assistant work/physio assistant experience.
  • Able to demonstrate a good standard of education, preferably NVQ3 or equivalent, together with administration experience.
  • Aware of the importance of equality, diversity, and rights.
  • Awareness of the need for confidentiality in accordance with Data Protection Act and national/local guidelines.

Duties of this role include:

  • Supporting Circle Integrated Care Clinicians to guide service users through their clinical pathway and ensure an outstanding experience of the service.
  • Undertaking audit activity under the supervision of the Clinical Lead.
  • Providing patient observations such as weight and height.
  • Undertaking daily stock checks of medicines used within the clinics across Bedfordshire hub sites under supervision.
  • Preparation and restocking of clinical rooms, including light cleaning duties.
  • Reporting incidents to relevant personnel and via incident reporting systems.
