Job overview

An exciting opportunity for a part time Personal Assistant to join the Essex Management Team in Supporting the Partnership Director for Thurrock and Basildon.

Main duties of the job

  • Supporting administration and organisational tasks for the PD
  • Provide a high quality confidential and comprehensive administrative service
  • Manage Diaries and Open and sort incoming emails and other post in a timely manner, and where appropriate, personally prepare and send responses to correspondence.
  • Operate bring forward and reminder systems.
  • Undertake word processing of all documents to a high standard, in an agreed Trust style and using an appropriate referencing system.
  • Utilise advanced level IT skills to create reports, spreadsheets and presentations, we regularly use MS Excel, MS Teams, MS forms, PowerPoint and Adobe Pro.
  • Develop and maintain filing systems (electronic and paper) to ensure effective access to relevant information.
  • Supporting the development and administration of projects and mobilisations
  • General admin duties, including, oversight of complaint letters, management of emails and incoming queries
  • Minute taking and scribe at meetings.
  • Liaising with members of staff including, clinicians and senior managers. See JD for more details

Probationary Period

This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).

High Cost Area Supplement

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 5% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £1,258 and a maximum payment of £2,122 per annum pro rata).

  • Administrative experience of working in a busy environment

  • Has worked at Band 3 or equivalent
  • Has worked within NHS and has experience of systems such as Healthroster, Systmone, eProcurement etc.
  • Has acted up or has experience of PA role.
