Overview

Bensham Grove operates as a bustling community arts and education centre offering adult learning courses, workshops, and various community groups in a fully accessible, historic setting. The Centre is known for its diverse programming, including art and craft taster sessions, local interest groups, and activities for multicultural and older populations, reflecting its long history of community service.

Main responsibilities
  • Support the efficient operation of Bensham Grove by working closely with trustees, employees, consultants, contractors, volunteers and local organisations to ensure a vibrant, welcoming, well-managed facility.
  • Develop and implement strategic and policy development to sustain the centre and its activities within a sustainable framework for local people and organisations.
  • Oversee finances and budgets, event planning and programme delivery to maximise impact and accessibility.
  • Identify opportunities for business development through effective marketing, networking and innovative solutions while maintaining the main house’s historical status and improving facilities.
  • Exercise a high degree of autonomy with support and mentorship from the Board of Trustees, who act as line manager.
