Oakshed Care, based in Camborne and serving West Cornwall, is seeking Community Care Workers. No care experience needed—full training provided and sponsorship may be available for eligible switchers already in the UK.

The role involves personal care, companionship, and assisting with mobility and daily activities. Highlights include paid mileage, flexible contracting (full-time or part-time), and comprehensive training with shadowing, mentoring, uniforms and PPE provided.

Qualificações

• Enhanced DBS check required
• Two satisfactory references required
• Completion of mandatory training required
• Full UK driving licence and own vehicle required
• GCSE or equivalent preferred

Responsabilidades

• Assisting with personal care, including showering, strip washing, bathing, oral care, grooming, and dressing
• Supporting toileting and continence needs, including pad changes and skin integrity management
• Preparing meals, drinks, and snacks, and serving them at the right times
• Assisting with feeding to ensure adequate food and drink intake
• Assisting with medication once competence has been tested
• Helping with planning and shopping
• Light housework, such as vacuuming and washing dishes
• Supporting visits to health professionals — hospital, GP, or dentist appointments
• Providing emotional support through listening and conversation
• Companionship and shared activities, such as films or card games
• Accompanying service users on trips and holidays
