Care Worker - Community Based

Overview

Care Worker based in the community, with contracted hours of 0-37.5 per week. Location: Bridgend / Maesteg. Shifts available: 7am-3pm and/or 3pm-11pm.

Carer pay rate: £12.60 plus travel time and mileage 0.40ppm. Benefits include free blue light discount card, Employee Assistance Program, ongoing training and development, and long service awards. Cycle to work scheme is also available.

Essential criteria
  • Positive person.
  • Your own car.
  • Able to work alternative weekends (this makes it fair for all staff).
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Willing to be a team player.
  • Professional manner at all times.
  • Friendly attitude towards all staff and clients.
  • Please note - people do NOT need experience in care for this role.
Key responsibilities
  • Companionship - ensuring a client enjoys regular and meaningful social interaction is an important part of your visit
  • Help with everyday tasks such as meal preparation and light housework
  • Accompanying to appointments or shopping
  • Personal care - supporting our clients with essentials such as bathing, showering, dressing and grooming to keep them healthy and independent
