Job summary

Just Better Care is seeking an experienced Community Care/Support Worker to provide high-quality in-home support across Liverpool, Fairfield, Campbelltown & Camden and surrounding areas. You will work casually, with travel required to local communities, supporting aged and disabled clients in their own homes.

You should have a Certificate III or IV in Aged Care or related field, strong communication skills, and be comfortable using a mobile app to manage rosters and notes.

Qualifications

• Experience in aged or disability care is required.
• Capable of building rapport and communicating clearly.
• Ability to use a mobile app to access rosters and record notes.

Responsibilities

• Domestic assistance including light chores, laundry and meal prep.
• Personal care such as showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance.
• Social support/transportation for activities and medical appointments.
• Assist customers with aids and equipment and support complex needs.
• Monitor well-being and report progress, providing updates after each service.

We are looking for experienced and dedicated Community Care/Support Worker to join our caring and dynamic team and provide high quality in-home support services to our valued customers. For this role, you will need previous experience in aged or disability care. We are also looking for someone who lives locally or willing to travel to Campbelltown & Camden and/or Liverpool & Fairfield area. Assistant in Nursing's (AIN) applicants are encouraged to apply.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
• Personal care: showering, dressing, grooming and medication assistance
• Social support/transportation for social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
• Supporting customers in the use of aids and personal equipment
• Supporting customers with complex and/or challenging needs
• Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
• Provide updates on customer progress following each service

About you:

• Good interpersonal skills & written/verbal communication skills
• Ability to build rapport & good working relationships
• Comfortable using technology (i.e. mobile app) for accessing rosters & recording customer notes/feedback

What you will need:

• NDIS Worker Screening Clearance / Criminal Record Check
• Proof of Vaccination(where relevant) i.e. COVID-19 vaccination certificate
• Current First Aid certificate/CPR
• Current Australian Drivers License
• Reliable, registered, and insured vehicle
• Smart phone with internet access
• Current Working with Children Check (preferred)
• Certificate III or IV in Aged Care, Home & Community Care, Individual Support or Disability Services
