Job description

Think of a time when you’ve needed help.

Was it easy to find? Were the choices confusing?

Our Navigators support adults who need extra help for all sorts of reasons to assess what they want to change, find out what services could help them, and make informed choices that will enhance their lives.

We are looking for new team members in Dartford, Gravesham, Swanley and Swale to help people improve their health and wellbeing. Navigators travel within their allocated area so you will need your own car for the role.

You will meet people in their own homes or community venues to carry out holistic and statutory assessments, develop action plans, and provide information, advice and guidance to support positive change. You might help someone improve housing or debt concerns, arrange respite for someone they care for, apply for funding for a mobility scooter or join a carers’ group so they feel less alone. It’s all about finding the right support for each person.

Through research, networking and partnership working, you will develop a wide-ranging knowledge of community, health and social care services, so that you can achieve the best options and outcomes for the people you work with.

We know this support works because clients and families tell us so.

We are looking for people who are empathetic, resilient, organised, methodical, intuitive, problem-solving, flexible, motivated, hard-working… does that sound like you?

You may have relevant professional or personal experience, be a recent college or university leaver, or someone who is looking to go in a different direction and feel you have what we’re looking for.

The roles are 9 months fixed-term role, full-time, (part-time would be considered with a minimum 22.5 hours per week).
