Job summary

Herts at Home in Hitchin is seeking a compassionate Community Care Assistant for part-time hours (10–30 per week). The role involves visiting clients at home to provide direct care, assist with personal tasks, monitor health and mobility, and support independence. A valid driving licence and access to a vehicle are essential.

  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients, fostering a positive and nurturing environment.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of client interactions and progress.

Community Care Assistant (VCS)

Role: Community Care Assistant

Location: Hitchin

Hours : Part time - 10 - 30 hours per week

Pay Rate: £15.53 Per Hour & 40p Per Mile

Shift Timings: Mornings 7am - 2pm Evenings 4pm - 10pm. Some weekend working would be beneficial

Please note:

A valid drivers licence and access to own vehicle is essential for this role

Duties:

  • Provide direct care and support to clients in their homes or community settings

  • Assist clients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
