COMMUNITY CAMHS CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST

Location: Basildon, SS14 1EH

Contract: Substantive, full-time with 10 PAs, DCC, and SPA. Additional PA possible.

Key Qualifications:

  • Full GMC registration with a license to practice
  • CCT or equivalent
  • Section 12 Approval or eligibility
  • Approved Clinician status or eligibility
  • Inclusion in, or eligibility for, the Specialist Register or within 6 months of CCST
Main duties
  • Work within multidisciplinary teams caring for children and young people, especially those with eating disorders.
  • Provide senior medical support and guidance.
  • Work directly with young people and families, liaising with external CAMHS providers and hospitals.
  • Participate in on-call rota (currently 1:7, with 2% on-call supplement).
  • Support team members and collaborate with other professionals and agencies.
