CAMHS Clinical Psychologist, Band 8a, 0.8wte (30 hours)
We offer an exciting opportunity for a Clinical Psychologist to develop their expertise within an expanding Community CAMHS service covering North Nottinghamshire (Newark, Sherwood, and Bassetlaw).
We welcome applications from recently qualified psychologists or those due to qualify in 2025, and we are open to developing this as a preceptorship post (Band 7-8a).
The role involves working within a multidisciplinary team, including nursing, social workers, psychiatry, and psychological therapists, in a supportive environment with professional development opportunities.
Applicants must hold a postgraduate doctorate in clinical psychology accredited by the BPS and be HCPC registered. Experience working with children, young people, and their families is essential.

Provide clinical psychology services to children, young people, and families; support care systems; undertake research and audits; and develop the service.

Includes psychological assessments, formulation, therapeutic interventions, risk management, multi-agency coordination, supervision, and professional development activities.
Qualifications: Postgraduate doctorate in clinical psychology (BPS accredited), HCPC registration.
Experience: Working with children and young people with complex mental health needs, multi-agency collaboration, clinical supervision, and specific experience with ADHD & ASD.
Knowledge & Skills: Understanding of mental health legislation, therapeutic models, risk assessment, and effective communication with children and families.
Full UK driving license required; additional training in psychological therapies, assessment, supervision, and neurodevelopmental conditions preferred.

Applicants must pay for their DBS check (£26.40 standard, £54.40 enhanced), with an option to enroll in the DBS Update Service (£16/year).
