Job description

Job Description

Action in rural Sussex is seeking a customer-focused, friendly Adviser to join our expanding community buildings team.

Community halls form a vital part of thriving communities, especially in rural areas, providing inclusive, accessible local spaces for a wide range of wellbeing, educational, and recreational activities. They contribute to community health and wellbeing, help overcome isolation, reduce car travel and impact on the environment, and strengthen community cohesion.

Our community buildings team works with community spaces across Sussex, particularly charitable village halls, providing managers and trustees with specialist advice and information via our information portal, online discussion forum, newsletters, training and networking events, and bespoke individual support.

We welcome applications from individuals with experience and knowledge of managing community buildings, as well as the ability to create engaging newsletters, web, and social media content to keep halls informed about current developments.

If you share our vision of active, thriving communities full of opportunities for everyone, regardless of their circumstances, we would love to hear from you.
