Job summary

Red 5 People is seeking an experienced Employment Advisor to help people with severe mental health difficulties secure meaningful, paid work in the Christchurch, Lymington and New Milton areas. Based mainly in the New Milton base, this role involves community visits and close collaboration with clinical teams.

You will use the IPS model to tailor employment plans, support CVs and interview prep, and build relationships with local employers.

Qualifications

• Experience in employment services and supporting people with barriers to employment.
• Strong understanding of employer engagement and relationship building.
• Ability to work independently in community settings.

Responsibilities

• Support people experiencing severe mental health difficulties to achieve their employment goals.
• Deliver IPS-based employment support and develop personalised employment plans.
• Assist clients with CVs, applications, interview preparation, and job searching.
• Build relationships with local employers and identify both advertised and hidden opportunities.
• Provide ongoing in-work support and coordinate with clinical teams and partner organisations.
• Maintain accurate case records and complete reports and administrative requirements.
• Travel between community locations and work flexibly across settings.
