Job summary

Civic Recruitment Limited is recruiting a C4W+ Employment Mentor to support the Welsh Government Communities for Work Plus programme in the Vale of Glamorgan. You will mentor unemployed residents, provide job search help, and connect them with training opportunities.

The role is community-based with two days in the Barry office, plus outreach, home working, and flexible arrangements. Bi-weekly pay and a meaningful impact on local employment are offered.

Qualifications

• Strong coaching, mentoring and motivational skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Experience in case management or support services.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-to-one employability support, mentoring, and job search assistance.
• Manage a caseload of clients with a holistic, person-centred approach.
• Complete assessments, support and action plans, with regular reviews.
• Deliver employability-related training and access to opportunities.
• Maintain records and update databases per Welsh Government requirements.
• Collaborate with Vale Employability colleagues and partners.
