JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) looking for a rewarding locum role in Manchester? We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

Job Title: Community Psychiatric Nurse (Band 6)

Location: Manchester

Duration: 3 months ongoing

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Start Date: ASAP

Rate of Pay: £26 per hour

What You'll Be Doing:

1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with mental health conditions.
2. Develop and implement personalised care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team.
3. Provide therapeutic interventions to support recovery and manage symptoms effectively.
4. Offer crisis intervention and risk management strategies to ensure patient safety.
5. Liaise with other healthcare professionals, social workers, and support services to deliver holistic care.
6. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with NHS standards and guidelines.
7. Offer support and guidance to families and caregivers to promote overall well-being.

Requirements & Qualifications:

1. A current and valid NMC registration and pin.
2. Previous experience working as a CPN or in community mental health settings.
3. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
4. The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
5. A commitment to delivering high-quality patient care.

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role requires availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The contract is for an initial 3-month period with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
