JOB DESCRIPTION

Are you a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) looking for a rewarding locum role in Manchester? We have an exciting opportunity with great pay and flexibility!

Job Title: CPN (Band 6)
Location: Manchester
Duration: 3 months ongoing
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
End Date: Ongoing
Rate of Pay: £26 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing:

Join our team as a Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) and play a vital role in supporting adults with mental health challenges. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive mental health assessments for service users in the community.
  • Developing and implementing individualised care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Providing evidence-based therapeutic interventions to support emotional well-being and recovery.
  • Offering crisis intervention and risk management strategies to ensure patient safety.
  • Liaising with families, social workers, and other professionals to deliver holistic care.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with NHS standards and guidelines.
  • Offering guidance and psychoeducation to service users and their caregivers.
Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A current and valid NMC registration (or relevant professional body registration).
  • Previous experience as a CPN or working with adults in community mental health settings.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to work independently and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This role requires availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The contract is for an initial 3-month period with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
