Are you a Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) looking for a rewarding locum role in an Addictions Team? We have an exciting opportunity in Manchester with great pay and flexibility!

Job Title: Band 6 Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) – Addictions Team
Location: Manchester
Duration: Ongoing
Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM
Start Date: ASAP
Rate of Pay: £26 per hour

What You’ll Be Doing:

Join our team as a Community Psychiatric Nurse (CPN) in the Addictions Team, where you will provide specialist mental health and substance misuse support. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments for individuals experiencing substance misuse and co-occurring mental health conditions.
  • Developing and implementing tailored care plans in collaboration with a multidisciplinary team.
  • Providing harm reduction advice, relapse prevention strategies, and crisis intervention.
  • Supporting service users with medication management, detox support, and mental health interventions.
  • Liaising with families, social workers, addiction services, and other professionals to ensure holistic patient care.
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date patient records in line with NHS and addiction service guidelines.

Requirements & Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A valid NMC registration as a Mental Health Nurse (RMN).
  • Previous experience in substance misuse and addiction services is essential.
  • Strong assessment, risk management, and crisis intervention skills.
  • The ability to work autonomously and within a multidisciplinary team.
  • A compassionate and non-judgmental approach to supporting individuals with addiction.

This role requires availability from Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM. The contract is ongoing, with a strong possibility of extension based on performance and service needs.
