Job description

This hospice has been caring for local people since 1984. Currently, in the third year of a three-year strategy that has seen significant fundraising growth, the team now seeks a Community and Events Lead (maternity cover). Prospectus is excited to lead the search. The candidate should ideally be able to start by the beginning of July 2025.

Role Overview

This role will lead the organisation’s extensive programme of events and community fundraising activities. The postholder will lead a team of three, growing and retaining community and events activity through strategic and insight-driven decision-making to maximise opportunities for significant income growth. The role involves collaboration with colleagues, external supporters, third-party providers, and others to develop and test new owned events.

Candidate Requirements

• Demonstrable track record in managing and developing community and events fundraising activities.
• Experience in line managing a team.
• Experience in setting and managing event budgets.
• Experience in delivering multi-channel marketing of activities or events to the public.

Work Environment

This role is hybrid, with three days a week in the office, with Monday as the core team day.
