Job description

Ferndown Town Council are seeking an enthusiastic and proactive Community and Events Lead to grow and diversify the Centre’s programme of activities and events. This is a varied and hands-on role combining strategic planning, marketing, event co-ordination, and operational delivery. You will ensure the Centre is fully utilised, accessible, and welcoming for all users. The role involves physical activity such as setting up rooms and using access equipment.

Job Title: Community and Events Lead

Salary Range: £29,752 - £31,586 (pay award pending)

Full Time: 37 hours per week (including evenings and weekends on a rota basis)

Location: The Barrington Centre, Pennys Walk, Ferndown

Reports to: Town Clerk

Supervises: Box Office Assistant, Bar Staff, Volunteers
