Qualifications needed:
· Full GMC Registration with a license to practice
· Section 12 certification, or a commitment to work towards this.
· Mastery in the management of a broad range of mental disorders in adults
At least 4 years of full-time postgraduate training (or its equivalent gained on a part-time basis) of which at least 2 years will be in a specialty training programme in a relevant specialty or as a fixed term specialty trainee or shall have equivalent experience and competencies

We are currently recruiting to an Adult Psychiatry Specialty Doctor position in the Havering Mental Wellness Team South (MHWT-S), based at Oasis House, 28 - 30 Gubbins Lane, Harold Wood, RM3 0QA. This is an established, substantive, full-time post – 10 PAs. This post is currently vacant, and we wish to recruit to this post as soon as possible.
You will join 2wte Adult Consultant Psychiatrists and 1wte Core trainees within the service, and will have the opportunity to influence future direction, treatment, and models of design in the area in which you work.
You will be expected to:
· Workaspartofmultidisciplinaryteamsprovidingcaretoadults with mental health needs, across northern Havering.
· Provideseniormedicalsupporttotheteam,anddirectinputonclinicalcases.
· Provideguidanceandsupervisiontotheteam.
· Work directly with adults and their families and liaise as appropriate with other external mental health providers, and acutehospitals.
· Work alongside the 2wte Consultant Psychiatrists and 1wte Core Trainee within the service and share clinical supervision requirements with them.
· Developlinksalreadyestablishedwiththelocalacutetrusts’A&Edepartments and inpatient wards.
· Beresponsibleforpatientsallocatedtothemandwillassess,manage,plan,and deliver care.
· Supportyourpeersandtheteammanagerandbeaneffectiveteammember whilst working on their own initiative.
· Supervisejuniorcolleaguesandliaisewithotherhealthandsocialprofessionals and agencies.
