COMMUNITY ADULT EATING DISORDERS CONSULTANT PSYCHIATRIST (MAIDSTONE)
You will be expected to:
- Work as part of multidisciplinary teams providing care to patients with eating disorders across all ages, with a focus on adult patients.
- Provide senior medical support to the team and direct input on clinical cases.
- Offer guidance and supervision to team members, work directly with adults (and their families), and liaise with external adult mental health providers and acute hospitals as appropriate.
- Collaborate with other professionals, including another Adult Consultant Psychiatrist, 2.8 WTE CAMHS Consultant Psychiatrists, 0.4 WTE Paediatrician, and 1 WTE Core Trainee, sharing supervision duties for junior doctors.
- Further develop links with local acute trusts, A&E departments, and inpatient wards to enhance services.
- Be responsible for allocated patients, including assessment, management, planning, and delivery of care.
- Support peers and team leaders, work independently, and supervise junior colleagues.
- Demonstrate commitment to collaborative working and liaise actively with health and social care professionals and agencies.
