Alzheimer Scotland is seeking a Community Activity Organiser for the Fife area. The role is based at the Alzheimer Scotland Brain Health and Dementia Resource Centre in Kirkcaldy with outreach across Fife, to establish community activities for people living with dementia and their families.
You will be a self-starter, flexible and collaborative, with strong communication skills. A relevant qualification and experience with dementia would be advantageous.
Contract: Full time; 35 hours per week. Temporary for 1 Year.
Location: This post will be based at Alzheimer Scotland Brain Health and Dementia Resource Centre in Kirkcaldy, although will involve providing Outreach Support across Fife.

We are looking for a Community Activity Organiser for the Fife area. You will establish a range of community activities and opportunities across the locality that fill identified gaps and meet the needs of people living with dementia and their families/carers.
The successful applicant will have a positive approach to dementia. You will be flexible, inclusive, creative, and organised in your approach. You will be sensitive and compassionate with the ability to support people in times of difficulty or distress. You will be an excellent communicator who can work effectively both with individuals and with groups. You will have a positive approach to your own continued professional development and a willingness to participate in relevant training. A relevant qualification and previous experience of working with people with dementia would be an advantage.
