Job summary

MHA Communities Cheshire West in Ellesmere Port is seeking a fixed-term Community Coordinator for Cheshire West. The role covers Ellesmere Port, Neston and surrounding areas, delivering a varied programme of activities for local older people and helping reduce loneliness.

This part-time 25-hour week position (1-year fixed term) offers a supportive environment, opportunities to develop groups, manage bookings, serve light refreshments, and use Microsoft Office to keep records.

Qualifications

• Enjoys working with people and building relationships.
• Is organized, enthusiastic and able to work independently.
• Has good communication and administrative skills.
• Confident using Microsoft Word, Excel and other digital systems.
• Willing to prepare and serve refreshments and support food-based activities.
• Has a full driving licence and access to a car, as travel across the local area is required.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver a range of community activities that promote friendship, wellbeing and independence.
• Develop new groups and activities based on local need and participant feedback.
• Support existing activities, including social groups, lunch clubs, outings and wellbeing sessions.
• Coordinate the administration of activities, including bookings and attendance records.
• Maintain accurate records using Microsoft Office and other digital systems.
