Care Home Activities and Wellbeing Coordinator

Location: Residential Care Home, Whitby

Create a fun, friendly environment for elderly residents and support their social needs to enhance wellbeing in this family-run group of care homes.

We are seeking an enthusiastic Coordinator to develop and plan programs, outings, and events, providing a wonderful experience for residents. You will work within a generous wellbeing and activities budget for the home.

Position: Part-Time, with flexible hours/shifts, Monday - Saturday, 10am - 4pm.

Requirements: Experience as an Activities Coordinator in a similar residential care home is ideal, especially experience working with older adults. Responsibilities

1. Organise and plan activity programmes reflecting residents’ preferences, keeping up-to-date records using Person-centred Software Care Planning (PCS).
2. Assist the Group marketing consultant with the production of quarterly newsletters to inform residents and their families about activities in the home.
3. Support residents in accessing the internet and other communication methods such as letter writing, Skype, and FaceTime.
4. Plan events within the allocated budget.
5. Ensure residents are at the heart of planning activities, events, and outings to enhance their wellbeing.
6. Promote and protect the welfare of individuals supported by the service.
