The Royal Signals are the Army's professional communicators. Everywhere the Army deploys, the Royals Signals go as well. Reliable, secure communications are a vital requirement in every military situation. From setting up complex information and radio networks under fire or during humanitarian missions, to providing 3G networks for multinational forces – the Royal Signals tackle a wide range of operations, in times of peace and conflict.

You could be commanding your soldiers to establish communication networks in the field and coordinating cyber-attacks on the enemy. Wherever the Army takes you, it will be your job to keep the data and analysis flowing, keeping us a step ahead.

What we look for in our Officer Cadets is leadership potential, a sense of purpose and the drive to do great things. With these qualities in place, we can give you the training you need to take your skills and abilities and shape them into something amazing – whether you’re fresh out of school, have a university education, are professionally qualified or already building a career.

    (further distance learning required)
  • Sponsorship to study for valuable professional qualifications, including postgraduate degrees in science or engineering, and Chartered Practitioner status

You’ll take part in Adventurous Training around the world, from skiing in the Alps to white-water rafting in Colorado. You’ll also enjoy a fantastic range of benefits that come with Army life, from sports and state-of-the-art training facilities, to earning valuable professional qualifications.
