Job Description:

Hitachi Energy is offering an exciting role as a Communications Specialist. In this position, you will oversee the communication channels for Talent & Reward, ensuring alignment with the global communication strategy. You will work closely with the Talent & Reward team to transform learning concepts, training materials, and talent programs into clear, engaging, and impactful communications. Additionally, you will craft compelling content for the relevant communication channels to effectively promote the Talent & Reward offerings to targeted audiences.

Responsibilities:

  1. Develop & deliver change and change communications, educating stakeholders on change impact and relevance.
  2. Coach and educate T&R leaders in effective communication practices; promote communication training for leaders and managers.
  3. Manage relevant People Portal and HR intranet areas, ensuring a straightforward user experience.
  4. Host and moderate events, both in person and virtually.
  5. Create and standardize communication plans to support HR activities like Global Performance Management, Salary Reviews, and Incentive Plans.
  6. Develop strategic communication plans aligned with organizational objectives, prioritizing effectively.
  7. Review and manage the People Portal and HR intranet, collaborating with HR and Digital Tools Communications teams to ensure governance and user experience.
  8. Convey and embed Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion programs (e.g., Diversity 360) and employer branding initiatives using appropriate tools and channels.
  9. Create and manage communication materials such as training guides, learning resources, and collateral, ensuring consistency and compliance with branding and governance.
  10. Measure and analyze communication effectiveness using feedback and analytics, applying insights for continuous improvement.

Background:

  1. Proven experience as a communications specialist or in similar environments.
  2. High-level experience in copywriting and editing.
  3. Solid understanding of project management principles.
  4. Working knowledge of MS Office; photo and video editing skills are an asset.
  5. Excellent oral and written communication and presentation skills.
  6. Outstanding organizational and planning abilities.
  7. BSc/BA in public relations, communications, or relevant fields.
