Job Description:

Communications and Project Support Assistant

Shift Times: Monday - Friday. Hybrid working minimum 3 days in office.

Pay Rate: £118.58 Day Rate

Location: Hinckley Point C, Bridgewater TA5 1UD

Within the role, you will assist the Communications Advisor and team in implementing communication tools to improve productivity and efficiency. You will collaborate with various functions to produce presentations, facilitate webinars, develop engaging content, and organise corporate events.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Curate and coordinate publications (e.g., weekly highlights, quarterly newsletters).
  • Design and maintain content on intranet sites and social media channels.
  • Engage with HPC and MEH partner comms reps for updates and stories.
  • Plan, write, edit, proof, and post content for events and initiatives.
  • Understand audience needs and tailor content accordingly.
  • Escort media personnel on site for filming and photography.
  • Maintain distribution lists and communication inbox.
  • Manage queries on social media and upload website content.
  • Coordinate events like away days, webinars, and briefings.
  • Develop presentations for senior stakeholders.
  • Handle quotes and purchase requisitions.
  • Deputise for the Communications Advisor when needed.
  • Perform administrative tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure timely delivery of newsletters and publications.
  • Contribute to The Point newspaper.
  • Execute events and webinars, including evaluations.
  • Create social media content to support recruitment and branding.
  • Manage content for the MEH Alliance website.

Qualifications/Experience Required:

  • Confident communicator with good interpersonal skills.
  • Varied graphic design portfolio across multiple media and demographics.
  • Experience in editing and proofreading.
  • Excellent English language and grammatical skills.
  • Proficiency in Office365 (SharePoint, PowerPoint).
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
  • Minimum NVQ Level 4 or relevant experience.
  • Knowledge of Canva, Wordpress, or Adobe Creative Suite (desirable).
  • Experience in energy, construction, or manufacturing (desirable).
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and digital tools.
