Job description

Job Title: Communications Officers (Company Councils)

BALPA has two new posts for Communications Officers (Company Councils) responsible for developing and delivering the strategy for all of BALPA’s communications related to Company Councils. This includes content for the website, member portal and forums, member apps, email newsletters, social media, traditional media and press, magazine, podcasts, and videos.

The two Communications Officers (CCs) will work with the Director for Communications and collaborate with the two Communications Officers (Corporate) to develop and implement communication strategies for BALPA.

Team Structure and Responsibilities
  1. Each Communications Officer (CC) will work within a team comprising a National Officer, Scheduling Specialist, and Engagement Officer to support each Company Council.
  2. Each CC will be responsible for managing communications for half of the Company Councils.
  3. The role involves assisting the Director for Communications in implementing recommendations from a current communications review and further developing the communication strategy.
