I am proud to be working in partnership with a public sector organisation recruiting for a Communications Officer to join their dynamic team. This role involves transforming how the Communications team engages with residents, customers, and stakeholders across digital and traditional channels.

What You'll Do:
  • Design and deliver strategic communications campaigns
  • Manage media relations and act as a spokesperson
  • Create engaging content for web, social, print, and video
  • Support internal communications and change programmes
  • Collaborate with partners on joint campaigns
  • Provide crisis communication support when needed
Candidate Profile:
  • Skilled in campaign planning and content creation
  • Confident working with media, stakeholders, and senior leaders
  • Digitally savvy with storytelling skills
  • Organised, adaptable, and collaborative
  • Proven track record in communications, PR, journalism, or digital media
  • Strong writing and editing skills across multiple platforms
  • Understanding of communication evaluation and digital tools
  • Experience in local government or public sector is desirable
  • Familiarity with AI tools and emerging digital platforms is desirable
Qualifications:
  • Degree in communications, journalism, marketing, PR, or equivalent experience
