I am proud to be working in partnership with a public sector organisation recruiting a Communications Officer to join their team. This role involves transforming how the Communications team engages with residents, customers, and stakeholders across various digital and traditional channels.

What You'll Do:

• Design and deliver strategic communications campaigns
• Manage media relations and act as a spokesperson
• Create engaging content for web, social media, print, and video
• Support internal communications and change programmes
• Collaborate with partners on joint campaigns
• Provide crisis communication support when needed

Who We're Looking For:

• Skilled in campaign planning and content creation
• Confident working with media, stakeholders, and senior leaders
• Digitally savvy with storytelling skills
• Organised, adaptable, and collaborative
• Proven experience in communications, PR, journalism, or digital media
• Strong writing and editing skills across platforms
• Knowledge of communication evaluation and digital tools
• Experience in local government or the public sector (desirable)
• Familiarity with AI tools and emerging digital platforms (desirable)

Qualifications:
