About the Role
The Indigenous Studies Unit (ISU) is seeking a part-time Communications Officer to develop and implement communication strategies for multiple large-scale projects. This role will raise awareness and promote research outcomes related to Indigenous health, wellbeing, and policy reform, engaging with the research community, stakeholders, and the public. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills and the ability to translate complex research into accessible content across various platforms.

The successful candidate will be a strategic and creative communicator with exceptional written and verbal skills, able to craft audience-specific content and distill complex information into clear messages. They will be highly collaborative yet capable of working independently, adept at managing stakeholder relationships, social media platforms, and multiple priorities, while demonstrating strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to engagement and marketing initiatives.

This role requires that the successful candidate must undergo and maintain an up-to-date Working with Children Check. This is essential to guarantee a secure environment for all individuals at the University. In the case the selected candidate doesn't have a valid Working with Children Check, they will be able to apply for the WWCC as part of the initial onboarding procedures.
