Liverpool City Council is seeking a Communications & Marketing Manager (Fixed Term - 12 months) to lead digital marketing, branding and communications for City Halls venues across Liverpool and beyond.

You will develop audience engagement, drive commercial growth and manage a small marketing team, delivering high‑quality content for websites, social media, press and campaigns while ensuring brand consistency.

Responsabilidades

• Line manage the Marketing & Communications Officer
• Create engaging content including photography and video to promote events, venue hire and heritage activity
• Maintain and develop the City Halls brand ensuring consistency across marketing materials
• Drive audience growth and commercial performance through insight-led marketing
• Analyse analytics to evaluate campaigns and identify opportunities for improvement
• Develop marketing plans supporting venue hire, events and partnerships
• Produce high-quality written content including articles, blogs, news releases and social media copy
• Support internal and external communications and stakeholder engagement
• Build relationships with partners and cultural organisations to increase reach

The role:

Are you a creative and commercially‑minded marketing professional looking to make an impact across some of Liverpool's most iconic venues?

City Halls operates St George's Hall, Liverpool Town Hall and Croxteth Hall, delivering a diverse programme of events, venue hire, heritage activity, civic occasions and ticketed experiences.

We are seeking an experienced and innovative Communications & Marketing Manager to lead our digital marketing, branding and communications activity. This is a fantastic opportunity to shape audience engagement, drive commercial growth and strengthen the profile of our venues across Liverpool and beyond.

As Marketing & Communications Manager, you will:

• Lead the planning and delivery of digital marketing campaigns across websites, social media, email and online platforms


• Work with and line manage the marketing & Communications Officer


• Create engaging content, photography and video to promote events, venue hire, ticket sales and heritage activity


• Manage and develop the City Halls brand, ensuring consistency across all marketing, communications and venue materials


• Drive audience growth and commercial performance through insight‑led marketing and effective campaign management


• Maintain and enhance website content to maximise engagement, enquiries and sales opportunities


• Use analytics and performance data to evaluate campaigns and identify opportunities for improvement


• Develop marketing plans that support venue hire, events, fundraising campaigns and strategic partnerships


• Produce high‑quality written content including articles, blogs, news releases and social media copy


• Support internal and external communications, stakeholder engagement and organisational campaigns


• Build strong relationships with partners, cultural organisations and commercial stakeholders to increase reach and impact


• Champion innovative marketing approaches and sector best practice across the City Halls portfolio

This role requires flexibility, including occasional evening, weekend and bank holiday working to support events and major activities across Liverpool City Council venues.

This role is fixed term for the purpose of maternity leave and will end after 12 months.
