Our client, a well-established and highly reputable business membership organisation based in Central London is currently looking for a Communications Executive.

If you are a Communications Officer/Executive and excellent writer with excellent media relations and digital communications experience working for a similar membership body, trade association, professional body, not for profit, charity, corporate or B2B we would love to hear from you.

Job purpose

To support the Communications Manager in delivering the integrated communications plan across all key audiences to promote awareness and understanding of the value of the work of the restructuring, turnaround and insolvency profession and us as an organisation.

To support the Communications Manager in implementing proactive and reactive communications and campaign strategies to raise the associations profile, influence and visibility.

To plan, deliver and evaluate campaigns which support our wider communications objectives, strategy and activities.

To support the Communications Manager to maintain the press and media profile of the association as a source of expertise.

Main duties and responsibilities

Support the Communications Manager in the delivery of the association communications strategies, campaigns and programmes reflecting our mission, purpose and values.

Support the Communications Manager as first point of contact for media enquiries. Develop relevant briefings to support the associations spokespeople in their engagement with press and other external stakeholders.

Manage the media database and media contact lists.

Collaborate across all teams to effectively promote the work of the association to members and key stakeholders using all available communication channels.

Develop a range of materials including press releases, blogs, publications, reports, press quotes and articles.

Support the Communications Manager by building and maintaining contact with editors and journalists across the trade and national media, ensuring the association is the media’s first port of call on issues of relevance.

Conduct media monitoring and update staff on relevant matters.

Review primary research and data to identify trends in insolvency and restructuring which can then be used in the development of media and communications materials and campaigns.

Build relationships with regional committee members and utilise these connections to identify stories and case studies which can be used to promote the work of our members at a regional level.

Develop a social media and online strategy and manage the associations account on X, contributing relevant content to our LinkedIn account.
