About This Role

In this role, you will create and deliver communication strategies to help facilitate change activity across the business. You'll play a key role in delivering communications to 12,000 employees in line with Arnold Clark's strategic priorities and company culture.

You'll use your experience and expertise to effectively communicate across a range of channels, with the ability to turn technical or complicated language into something that engages and positively impacts our workforce.

Day-to-day duties

  • Work closely with stakeholders to deliver new initiatives to the business, often turning complex language into simple, engaging copy.
  • Determine the most appropriate channels to reach key audiences (for both digitally connected and non-connected work environments).
  • Work with our in-house Digital, Marketing and Film teams to create engaging assets as part of internal campaigns.
  • Be data-driven when building communication strategies, working to a test and measure approach.
  • You will act as an advocate for employees, ensuring employee impact is always considered and built into tailored communication plans from the very beginning.
  • Support the Internal Communications team with the production of business-wide and corporate-level communications to colleagues when necessary.

Essential Skills And Experience

  • Three years' (minimum) experience in an Internal Communications team with specific experience in change communication.
  • Experience delivering technological change projects within large organisations.
  • An in-depth understanding of digital employee communication platforms with experience in managing these platforms as a communications and engagement tool.
  • An analytical approach to communication with a focus on building and measuring end-to-end communication plans.
  • High level of organisation with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritise accordingly.
  • An influential communicator with excellent verbal and written skills.
  • The ability to work as a team - this is essential, as you'll be working as part of a 27-person Communications department alongside a 100-strong Marketing department to help create exceptional content for our stakeholders.
