Job summary

Priority Freight Ltd. is seeking a proactive PR and Communications professional to lead press releases, thought leadership content and internal communications.

You will identify newsworthy stories, engage with journalists, and coordinate award submissions to showcase the company’s expertise and industry insights. Working with the Group Head of Marketing, you will ensure messaging is accurate, timely and aligned with commercial goals, strengthening Priority Freight's reputation in the logistics

Qualifications

• Strong copywriting and editorial excellence for diverse audiences.
• Ability to translate complex information into clear, compelling content.
• Proven ability to identify newsworthy stories and pitches.
• Excellent interpersonal skills for engaging journalists and stakeholders.
• Experience in PR, B2B communications, or logistics is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver press releases, thought leadership articles, case studies, and other corporate communications content.
• Identify PR opportunities, develop newsworthy stories and support proactive media engagement.
• Build and maintain relationships with journalists, publications and industry contacts.
• Coordinate industry award submissions with supporting information and compelling entries.
• Deliver internal communications including company announcements and leadership updates.
• Collaborate with Sales, Operations and other departments to gather information and ensure messaging aligns with business activity.
• Support consistent corporate messaging across internal and external communications per brand guidelines.
• Monitor and report on PR activity and identify opportunities to improve reach and engagement.

About the position

To deliver proactive internal and external communications activity that strengthens Priority Freight's reputation, supports commercial objectives and ensures consistent messaging across the business.

Working closely with the Group Head of Marketing, the role will deliver PR and media activity, thought leadership, case studies, awards submissions and internal communications, identifying opportunities to promote Priority Freight's expertise, achievements and industry insight.

Key job responsibilities

• Develop and deliver press releases, thought leadership articles, case studies and other corporate communications content
• Identify relevant PR opportunities, develop newsworthy stories and support proactive media engagement
• Build and maintain relationships with relevant journalists, publications and industry contacts
• Coordinate industry award submissions, gathering supporting information and producing compelling entries
• Deliver internal communications activity, including company announcements, leadership updates and employee communications
• Work closely with Sales, Operations and other departments to identify stories, gather information and ensure communications accurately reflect business activity
• Support consistent corporate messaging across internal and external communications, in line with Priority Freight's brand guidelines
• Monitor and report on PR and communications activity, identifying opportunities to improve reach, engagement and effectiveness

Candidate requirements

• Strong copywriting, editing and proofreading skills, with the ability to produce engaging, accurate content tailored to different audiences
• Ability to identify newsworthy stories, translate complex information into compelling communications and develop content for press releases, case studies and thought leadership
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with colleagues, senior stakeholders, journalists and external contacts
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and ability to manage competing priorities independently
• Proactive, resourceful and commercially aware, with the initiative to identify opportunities and contribute new ideas
• Experience in PR, B2B communications or logistics would be advantageous
