Our client is a leading company in the industry and renowned for their involvement with the delivery of Mechanical, Electrical, Fire and Telecommunication services on Infrastructure Projects throughout the UK. They are currently looking for an experienced Communications CRE to join their team.

Job Description: We are currently seeking a Communications CRE to join a team on a part-time basis for a project in Oxford. You will be responsible for overseeing communications systems, including Public Address, PAVA, Customer Information Systems (CIS), clocks, fibre networks, network switches. This is a temporary position focusing on design, build, testing, and commissioning activities.

Responsibilities:

• Project Oversight: Provide technical oversight and guidance on communications systems for the project, ensuring compliance with industry standards and project requirements.
• Design and Build: Participate in the design, build, testing, and commissioning of communications systems, including authorising Works Package Plans and Task Briefing Sheets.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate documentation of design, testing, and commissioning activities, including reports, plans, and drawings.
• Collaboration: Collaborate with project teams, stakeholders, and Network Rail representatives to ensure project success and compliance with regulatory requirements.

Requirements:

• Previous experience as a Communications CRE appointed by a Network Rail DPE/PE.
• Strong knowledge of station communications systems, including PAVA, CIS, clocks, fibre networks, and network switches.
• Sentinel PTS and CSCS certifications are required.
• Experience in temporary design, build, testing, and commissioning of communications systems is preferred.
• Ability to authorise Works Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets, and other project documentation.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Available to work 2 days a week on-site in Oxford for the duration of the project.
