Job summary

Girlguiding seeks a Communications Coordinator to join its corporate communications team. You will support the communications, marketing and fundraising directorate to run projects, monitor progress and evaluate impact.

You will work across internal communications, PR, social media and external affairs, requiring excellent organisation, the ability to meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities; evenings/weekends and travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Excellent organisational skills and ability to manage a varied workload to tight deadlines.
• Experience in working in a communications role with strong written and verbal communication.
• Ability to prepare copy for different audiences.

They will support the communications, marketing and fundraising directorate to ensure the smooth and efficient running of directorate projects and processes, including monitoring and evaluation and providing logistical support for a range of events, campaigns and projects.

In this role, you'll support a number of different teams, including internal communications, PR, social media and external affairs. You'll need to have excellent organisational skills, including managing a varied and busy workload to tight deadlines and the ability to use initiative and adapt to changing priorities. The successful candidate will have experience in working in a communications role and have excellent communication skills, including preparing copy for different audiences.

The post requires working outside of 9-5 office hours, such as evenings and occasionally weekends, and to travel to other locations as necessary, for which time off in lieu and an allowance will be given.
