The role
We are currently looking to recruit a
Communications & Content Marketing Manager to be responsible for developing and delivering a comprehensive communications strategy across channels and audiences, both externally and internally that aligns with our commercial, brand, and charitable objectives.
A key part of this role will involve proactively driving media coverage and storytelling, so we're looking for someone with a strong network of journalists and key media contacts to help secure impactful exposure across national and digital press. Key duties
- Develop and manage The London Clinic's external and internal communications strategy, across all relevant channels (PR, digital, events), audiences (staff, consumers, consultants, referrers, strategic partners) and markets (UK, Middle East and elsewhere)
- Develop and manage communications activity and content that aligns with the wider marketing plan, with a particular focus on engaging self-pay patients
- Ensure that The London Clinic's brand and reputation is protected at all times, and manage any media coverage proactively and effectively
- Build and maintain relationships with journalists/media/influencers to support the effective distribution of content
- Identify new opportunities to bolster The London Clinic's profile through awards, patient reviews and case studies, and take responsibility for the delivery of award submissions
- Support and take the lead on creating content in service of business and/or brand objectives, ensuring high-quality output at all times
- Effectively manage the communications budget, along with any project-based budgets as needed
- Analytics and reporting - utilise analytics tools to measure effectiveness of activity, optimise accordingly and report on KPIs to senior stakeholders
Essential
Skills & experience
- Experience of working in a hospital/healthcare environment - private and/or NHS
- Significant experience in communications and PR, both strategy and execution, to build brand/reputation, increase engagement and drive new business
- Significant experience of managing press and influencer relationships in the delivery of new brand-building opportunities and the dissemination of content, including leading a press office
- Significant experience of content ideation and development, across different formats including website hubs, editorial and video
- Experience of managing and optimising social media channels, including developing social-first content
- Experience of growing communities and brand advocacy, such as via social media
- Experience of managing crisis communications
- Experience of developing highly engaging internal communications strategies, including fostering collaboration with different departments
- Impeccable copywriting and copyediting skills, able to flex to different editorial requirements, styles and tones
Desirable
- Experience of working both in-house and at a PR/communications agency at a senior level
- Knowledge of international markets, particularly the Middle East
- An understanding of litigation communications
