Job description

An opportunity has arisen to join one of South Yorkshire’s leading employers asa Communications Co-ordinator on a 12-month fixed Term contract. This role offers the chance to lead and execute high-impact, multi-channel marketing campaigns that support strategic business priorities.

We’re looking for a confident and creative Communications Coordinator. This is a brilliant opportunity for someone with experience in internal and external communications who enjoys writing, editing, and working across multiple platforms.

About the Role

Reporting to the Communications Manager, you’ll play a key role in delivering engaging communications that support strategic objectives. You’ll contribute to a wide range of exciting projects, helping to shape connections with both internal teams and external audiences.

You’ll take ownership of internal newsletters, support press activity, keep the intranet and website up to date and help drive the brand voice across various channels. You’ll also support events, campaigns, media relations and content planning—so no two days will be the same!

Key Responsibilities:

  • Draft and distribute engaging internal communications, including newsletters and announcements.
  • Assist in external content creation such as press releases, articles and social media posts.
  • Update and maintain the website, blog, CRM, and intranet.
  • Collaborate with teams across the business.
  • Support with event communications, campaign collateral and awards submissions.
  • Monitor and report on communications effectiveness using tools like Mailchimp and LinkedIn Analytics

About You:

  • Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations or a related field.
  • A strong writer and editor with excellent attention to detail.
  • Confident using tools such as WordPress, SharePoint, Mailchimp, and Monday.com.
  • Experienced in internal and external communications, with at least 3 years in a similar role.
  • Organised, proactive and comfortable juggling multiple deadlines.
  • Creative and collaborative, with strong interpersonal skills.
