The role

As a Communications Business Partner, you’ll work within our global Communications team to partner with our Land business, both in the UK and internationally. You will deliver multi-site communications to internal and external stakeholders across Babcock’s Land sector.

On a day-to-day basis, you will lead, advise, and deliver communications activities supporting operational and tactical campaigns, with a focus on operational support and business development.

  • Identify, develop, and execute external PR and media activities, focusing on local and trade media, to support campaigns and respond to emerging issues.
  • Act as a brand ambassador for Babcock, ensuring consistency of brand image and alignment with corporate messaging.
  • Collaborate with the wider Babcock Communications team to provide strategic and operational internal and external communications aligned with strategic goals, business growth, and development.
  • Support the delivery of events in the UK and internationally in partnership with the existing communications team.

This is a full-time role, 37.5 hours per week, with hybrid working arrangements.

Essential experience of the Communications Business Partner:

  • Significant experience in a corporate or agency environment or a senior role within corporate communications.
  • Background in the Defence Industry.
  • Experience engaging with diverse stakeholders and building internal and external relationships.
  • Ability to produce and distribute high-quality communications materials across various mediums.
  • Excellent written, IT, and interpersonal skills; confident, creative, independent, patient, and flexible; some people management experience preferred.

Qualifications:

  • Degree, HND, HNC, or Diploma in Marketing Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Creative Writing, or related fields.

Security Clearance

The successful candidate must be able to obtain and maintain Standard (BPSS)/Security Check (SC) security clearance. Many roles are subject to national security and trade restrictions, which may be influenced by nationality, citizenship, and residency status.
