Job description

The Role

We’re looking for a proactive and thoughtful Communications Associate to join our team. Ideally, you’ll bring 1–2 years of experience in communications, PR, or content-focused roles. This is a great opportunity to build on that foundation and grow across both internal and external communications in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.

You’ll contribute to a wide range of activities, from liaising with journalists and amplifying our brand narrative, to supporting internal storytelling that connects teams and celebrates our culture.

Key Responsibilities

  • Draft and edit content for a range of internal and external channels, including newsletters, press releases, intranet stories, social media posts, and presentations.

  • Support the planning, creation, and scheduling of social media content, including writing copy and sourcing visuals.

  • Assist with media relations, including building media lists, responding to journalist requests, and monitoring coverage.

  • Help plan and deliver internal campaigns, events, and regular updates in partnership with key stakeholders.

  • Manage content calendars and help ensure projects stay on track.

  • Proactively identify compelling media angles and pitch stories to elevate Morningstar’s research and thought leadership.

  • Monitor and analyse earned media coverage and communications campaign performance.

  • Stay on top of industry trends and bring fresh ideas to the table.

Requirements

  • 1–2 years of experience in a communications, PR, or content-related role (agency or in-house).

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with an adaptable tone of voice.

  • Comfortable working across multi-channel communications (e.g. social media, intranet, newsletters).

  • Highly organised and able to manage multiple projects and competing timelines.

  • Curious, collaborative, and eager to grow, this is a hands-on, varied role with room to develop.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage several projects at once.

Nice to Have (but not essential)

  • Familiarity with media monitoring tools and intranet platforms.

  • Experience in financial services, or professional services.

Please submit a cover letter to your resume.

Morningstar’s hybrid work environment gives you the opportunity to work remotely and collaborate in-person each week. We’ve found that we’re at our best when we’re purposely together on a regular basis, at least three days each week. A range of other benefits are also available to enhance flexibility as needs change. No matter where you are, you’ll have tools and resources to engage meaningfully with your global colleagues.
