Job Description

Venator is recruiting for a Communications Assistant on a 12 month fixed term contract to join the global communications team at Wynyard, Stockton-on-Tees.

Reporting to the Vice President, Communications, the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the delivery of high-quality, effective, and engaging communications, including taking a lead role in the delivery of specific projects, in addition to providing administrative and organisational support.

Job Responsibilities Include

  • Working to a brief and delivering a plan under the guidance of the Vice President, Communications
  • Identifying, developing, and executing an engaging content calendar for various communication channels including digital poster campaigns, intranet posts, and social media
  • Creation and management of an engaging employee events programme
  • Assisting the team with administration that surrounds systematic processes i.e., quarterly briefing process
  • Building strong working relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Updating and maintaining the corporate website as required
  • Managing the invoice process for the communications team
  • Mailbox management

Candidate Requirements

  • Degree level education in marketing, communications, or events, plus experience in a similar role
  • Effective communication and influencing skills
  • Ability to motivate and inspire colleagues with a confident, positive can-do attitude
  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with a passion for continuous improvement
  • Strong IT skills and experience with Microsoft platforms
  • Ability to demonstrate initiative and have a problem-solving approach
