Part-Time Fixed-Term Contract

Maternity Cover

Location: England - London

HOURS: 0.4 FTE (2 days per week); Open to other part-time arrangements
TERM: Temporary, Parental leave cover (10 months)
REPORTING TO: Head of Strategic Operations
ANNUAL LEAVE: 28 days pro rata, plus statutory holidays

Create London is looking for a highly motivated and creative Communications and Social Media Manager to join our team for at least 10 months. You will play a key role in creating audience development content to support ambitions to diversify and expand our audiences, especially with a local focus in our priority areas of Newham and Barking & Dagenham.

You will be responsible for all of Create's core communications, including digital, social media and the website. Working closely with the senior team, your task is to ensure that all communication fits with the organisational strategy and brand, are inclusive and accessible to different audiences and informed by analytics. You will manage relationships with partner organisations to realise effective cross-promotional opportunities and ensure that funder and stakeholder relationships are appropriately maintained and acknowledged.

The role requires a detail-focused, collaborative and imaginative approach as well as excellent written, oral and visual communication skills. Also essential is an appreciation of the fluid and responsive nature of a small, pioneering arts organisation and eagerness to work creatively within a vibrant work environment.
