North Norfolk District Council seeks a Communications and PR Manager to lead their communications initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will develop engagement plans, manage media relations, and support the Council's mission. The position requires an experienced professional in PR, capable of engaging diverse audiences both digitally and traditionally.
About The Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced and engaging Communications and PR Manager to lead our communications, community engagement and public relations activities. This is a pivotal role at the heart of the Council’s mission to maintain its reputation and strengthen connections with residents, partners and stakeholders.
You will lead and manage a team of dedicated individuals, ensuring adequate resource is available to respond effectively to media requests and take the lead in driving digital engagement and creative communication campaigns. You will lead the team in influencing public perception and supporting the Council’s corporate plan objectives.
About You
You are an experienced communications professional with a strong background in PR and media relations, ideally within a public sector or politically sensitive environment.
You will have a strong understanding of how to engage with diverse audiences through both traditional and digital channels and you must be confident in managing high profile or complex issues with discretion and clarity.
Your leadership style will be collaborative and inspiring with the ability to build strong relationships at all levels. In addition, you will be strategic, adaptable and politically astute, with a passion for community engagement and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service.
