Job Description:

We are currently working with The West of England Combined Authority who are looking to recruit a Communications and Marketing Officer to work within the Bus Grant programme.

Job: Communications and Marketing Officer

Site presence: Hybrid – 2-3 days in office

This is a great opportunity to work on a variety of communications and marketing activities across the BGDP programme in a dynamic and interesting organisation. This role will support the communication of their vision for an affordable, reliable and sustainable public transport network that gives residents a real alternative to using their cars.

Responsibilities
  • Stakeholder engagement, producing copy, planning and executing campaigns and general communications support
  • Deliver and manage proactive and coordinated communications and marketing activity to support individual projects and initiatives within the BGDP programme
  • Develop and deliver marketing campaigns that support the overarching communications strategy for the BGDP programme, as well as individual projects
  • Create engaging visual and video/audio content, as well as Plain English copy for different channels
  • Use a range of channels including in-person and digital to engage with the public, stakeholders and staff
  • Evaluate communications and marketing activities to ensure effectiveness and value for money, identifying opportunities to optimise performance and feeding insights back to teams
  • Manage creative and professional services to ensure effective delivery of all marketing activities, such as design, print, videos
Experience/Requirements
  • Experience of working with project teams to define objectives, develop messaging, recommend channels, and deliver a suite of campaign collateral and communications activities
  • Evaluating campaign performance against objectives, and making recommendations to improve future performance
  • In-depth knowledge and experience executing marketing campaigns, including the full channel mix, campaign planning and delivery
